Scholarship holders of the Hastor Foundation achieve success at the international level by representing their Bosnia and Herzegovina, the knowledge and potential we have and making us endlessly proud!
Our brilliant scholar Tarik Dacić won two gold medals at the International STEM Olympiad, held in The Hague, a prestigious global competition that brings together the best students from around the world in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Tarik took home gold medals from the Mathematics and Science categories (biology, chemistry and physics).
Our brilliant scholarship holder gives us his impressions of this great competition:
The winners were announced by class. When I realized I didn’t get bronze, I still had hope for silver. I wasn’t shortlisted for silver either and thought that was it – I got nothing. However, at the end I saw that I was on the gold list, which I was very happy about, and I predicted gold from math as well. When the announcement in mathematics began, all the classes came and went – I was nowhere to be found. I worried that I had done so badly, and I was sure that I hadn’t. My friend made it easier for me and said that the first three places will get medals only at the end. I was very proud when I won first place and brought two medals to Bosnia and Herzegovina!
We congratulate Tarik and look forward to the new successes of our scholars!
