Hamza Turulja, a scholarship  recipient of the Hastor Foundation and a Bosnian-Herzegovinian karateka, continues to shine worldwide and brings home new medals. Our vice-champion at the Mediterranean Karate Championship, held in Italy in recent days, defeated representatives from Libya, Montenegro, and Italy.

Although he conquers the world with his martial arts skills, courage, and strength, Hamza also achieves success in academia. Just a few hours after arriving in Sarajevo from the Mediterranean Championship, he faced the committee of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education and successfully defended his thesis, earning the title of Professor of Sports and Physical Education.

This is not the end; our brilliant scholar is continuing his education at a higher level – a master’s program. On this occasion, he shares his impressions of the beautiful events of these days:

I am satisfied with my performance at the  Championship. I am proud to have represented the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina at this great competition and to continue the streak of excellent results. The completion of my studies, which happened just after my arrival in Sarajevo, reflects my four years of studying, during which I successfully balanced numerous sports, academic, and personal commitments. On this occasion, I thank the Hastor Foundation for their continuous support.

Congratulations to our successful athlete, and we eagerly await his new achievements.
