Scholarship holders of the Hastor Foundation break records month after month and set new standards in the fields of humanity, humanitarianism, education and many other spheres of life, representing the Foundation in the most beautiful light wherever they step. This time, Selma Krivokapa shared her volunteer journey, wealth and experience with us, and because of her volunteer activities at the Hastor Foundation, this month she was chosen as a scholarship holder of the month.
Selma Krivokapa became a scholarship recipient of the Hastor Foundation only eight months ago, but in that time, with her hard work and diligence, she managed to achieve outstanding results volunteering at the Education Club, which is why we are extremely pleased to present her as a scholarship recipient of the month this month. During this time, Selma showed extraordinary dedication to volunteering and improving the volunteering process itself through volunteering with excellent students in the Education Club, where she organises math workshops for excellent students from primary and secondary schools, and her workshops are one of the most visited. He points out that he enjoys this whole process and does volunteering with special attention and love.
I really want to say to all students who are scholarship recipients of the Foundation, but also to all those who may have been there for many years – the entire volunteer process at the Foundation is timeless. Every workshop, meeting, every kind of volunteering, help, as well as competition are valid. Not only do you build friendships and knowledge and have support in this, but you also build your personality. You are creating someone who likes to work – to do the right thing, who likes to help and who appreciates what is important, which is our ever-growing family.
Selma is a student at the International University in Sarajevo (IUS) at the Department of Business and Finance, which she sees as her future vocation and profession. She learned about the Hastor Foundation in high school from an older cousin, who was a senior scholar and mentor at the Foundation, and, as she points out, she always dreamed of becoming a scholar herself, which she succeeded in, and she has only the nicest words about the Foundation:
Of course, financial support helped my family a lot. The longer journey to college brought with it higher financial costs. I became a member of the Foundation in my second year of college and have been volunteering for eight months through educational workshops with children. Most of them are mathematical workshops and I became very close to my team.
In addition to the Foundation, our valuable scholarship recipient also has active volunteer hours in the student dormitory in Sarajevo, which represents her address during her student days. Likewise, she has been engaged in environmental activism since her high school days in the area of the Zenica-Doboj canton. Now her attention is focused on projects that are in the process of adopting sustainable business and respecting ecological standards in Bosnia
and Herzegovina.
