Fourteen years ago, the synergy of similarities and inspiring differences of a small group of people united by a common idea opened the door to a much more prosperous future of the most important social class, primarily young people, as the basic bearers of overall social progress in BiH.
Guided by the thesis that consistent and selfless commitment to youth education, as the most important process in the life of every young individual, is the most powerful tool to encourage the necessary positive changes in society, Hastor Foundation has been continuously affirming its long-term mission for 14 years.
The long-term mission of the Hastor Foundation is primarily to strive to build a more stable and promising BiH society, a society based on good values, at the heart of which is the process of education. Recognizing the need to direct the ideas, knowledge, talent and success of young ambitious people on the right path, the path of social responsibility and self-realization, the Hastor Foundation has evolved into a leading foundation of its kind in the entire region.
In an effort to lay small but effective steps towards a solid foundation for the progress of young generations, and consequently BiH society as a whole, the Hastor Foundation today supports 2059 scholarship holders from all parts of BiH. Speaking in this context, we are especially proud of the fact that our current and former scholarship holders, whom we followed from school to their college days, have become a kind of ambassadors and a direct reflection of philanthropy and all the noble aspirations and values we promote and strive to pass on to all those who are in any way part of our work and to those who, as friends and donors, are committed to the fulfilment of our long-term mission. The most relevant and credible indicator of our progress is certainly the numerous successfully realized projects, positive life stories, but also the daily successes of our scholarship holders within all domains of social activity.
The fourteen years of the Hastor Foundation have been marked by significant changes in the number of scholarship holders and the principles of its work, but its crucial goal has remained constant and what differentiates it from similar organizations – to build educated and noble individuals as the backbone of societal progress.
