Every day, we hear positive stories about the scholarship holders of the Hastor Foundation. One of such stories comes from Amna Krnjić, one of our scholarship holders from Novi Travnik.

Amna is a first-year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo. While she was still in high school, she wanted to study at one of the technological universities and was especially interested in solving problems in that field. She loved watching engineering shows and that’s how her love for constructing useful machine elements developed. Seeing the results of her personal work and effort in a form of a specific object had led her towards selecting her future studies.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic began, practical classes from one of her courses were carried out in university laboratories. Since this is no longer possible, her colleagues and she were given the task of filming their experiments at home. These experiments do not require a lot of material and are mostly related to their studies. The only thing that was required was a small dose of patience and a desire to expand one’s knowledge. What is particularly interesting is Amna’s decision to post the experiment videos on YouTube to help others with their own experiments. She is inspired to continue filming and determined to continue posting videos on the platform even after passing the course. She currently has three videos posted on her channel and plans to post a fourth video soon.

She wishes to further dedicate herself to filming after the semester is over so that she can help her colleagues and others who want to learn something from this field.

Amna has been a scholarship holder for more than a year and she’s just one of the many students that we are extremely proud of. Her message to all scholarship holders and the readers of our webpage is:

The obstacles are there to strengthen us, teach us, and gift us new experiences that make future difficulties easier to conquer. We should always strive to achieve our dreams without the fear of failure and continue even when the failure occurs. All of that is an integral part of life, we just have to keep going forward, acquire new knowledge and take advantage of the possibilities that come our way.

We congratulate Amna on the realisation of her activities and we wish her a lot of success in the future. We also invite all the readers and scholarship holders to visit her YouTube channel and subscribe by clicking on the link. This way, we can all follow her activities!
