Starting from the belief that investing in the potential of young people is one of the key links in the development of society, the Hastor Foundation continuously improves its support programmes. Although, prior to the beginning of the 2025/2026 school year, scholarship agreements were signed with a new generation of scholarship recipients through the regular call, we decided to take a step further. Continuing its mission of supporting young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Hastor Foundation published, at the end of December 2025, a Call for Gifted/Talented Students, demonstrating that there is always room with us for genuine talent and diligence.
Through this scholarship programme, in addition to the regular call for all students, we particularly wished to emphasise the outstanding achievements of young people in curricular and extracurricular activities and to provide them with the opportunity to develop their potential and contribute to their community. After completing the application process, the most promising candidates earned the right to scholarships, and scholarship agreements were officially signed with them on 14 March 2026. Thanks to this, our large community has been enriched by 55 excellent young people — 24 elementary school students who already excel in sports and 31 secondary school students with exceptional achievements in scientific fields.
The new scholarship recipients and their parents expressed satisfaction, pride, and gratitude for the opportunity they received and look forward to all the benefits that come with the status of a Hastor Foundation scholarship recipient.
“It means a lot to me that I have become a scholarship recipient of the Hastor Foundation. I receive no financial support from the city, so this scholarship will help me greatly. I plan to use the money to participate in stronger competitions and for further development,” emphasised scholarship recipient Jušić Eman.
Scholarship recipient Babić Milana stated:
“I am glad that someone recognised my work and effort and appreciates my results. This is a great motivation for further work and new competitions. I am sure the scholarship will help me a lot in the coming period.”
“I am happy and proud that all my effort over these years has paid off. I believe this will help me greatly in the future, be a strong motivation, and significantly ease my further path towards success,” said scholarship recipient Novak Tea.
Tea’s mother, Konjalić Dženana, emphasises:
“As a parent, I am extremely proud of my daughter and her success. I thank the Hastor Foundation for recognising the effort and talent of students and providing them with support for their future. I am especially pleased with the volunteering programme, because it develops nobility and humanity in young people, which is very important for their further development.”
“From an early age, I have taught my daughter to volunteer and develop work habits, so I am particularly glad that through the Foundation she will be involved in volunteer activities and co-operation with others. I think about how much it would have meant to me if, as a child, I had had the opportunity to come with my parents to such a building and sign a scholarship agreement. This is truly a great success, and I am grateful to the Hastor Foundation,” states the father of scholarship recipient Iman Malbašić.
We are proud to be able to support these talented young people on their educational path and to follow their successes and dreams.
