To take advantage of all the opportunities for advancement that are offered to them, the scholarship holders of the Hastor Foundation place themselves in different professional fields. We can often see them coping in different roles.

Zana Beljuri is an excellent third-grade student at the Third Gymnasium in Sarajevo. She is an example of how you can find a balance between school obligations and extracurricular activities. Since elementary school, she has participated in competitions in mathematics, physics, computer science, fine arts and the German language. This year, she won second place in the school science competition and participated in the cantonal, and then in the federal competition. At the mathematics competition, she won third place at the school level and participated at the cantonal level of the competition. In addition, she won second place in the German language competition at school.

Each new competition for Zana represents a new experience, a challenge, and an incentive for further progress. Although she is primarily interested in physics and chemistry, she chose the department of information technology, because she didn’t want to limit herself to only one area of interest. Since she likes to expand her knowledge, she attended robotics school, and participated in the European Researchers’ Night, which is based on topics closely related to biology and chemistry.

In addition to her love of natural sciences and languages, Zana also has a love of fine arts. Her talent was recognized in her early childhood, and the first competition she applied for in this field was in the fifth grade of elementary school when she won second place in the cantonal art talent competition. She is currently making her artistic and creative contribution wherever possible. She is a member of the photo-journalism section because photography is also related to her interest in art. In her free time, she also does sports.

The support that the Hastor Foundation gives me is a real incentive to be an even better and more useful member of society. For me, nothing below the maximum is satisfactory. That’s something I live by, so I never give up.

By combining all the talents, our scholarship holder found her formula for a happy upbringing. Her efforts, work and ambition are an example that you can find time for everything you love, but having even one passion is enough to choose a future profession.
