For 17 years, the Hastor Foundation has been proving that education is truly a winner’s choice. We continuously listen to your wishes and interests and, aware of the biggest challenges facing BiH society, we promote only positive, true values and tirelessly prove that success in Bosnia and Herzegovina is possible. Motivated by our mission, we are launching the Hastor Foundation Podcast, where you will have the opportunity to meet educated, successful and ambitious young people from the Hastor Foundation who contribute significantly to the entire BiH society and enrich it.
One such example is our first guest, Vedin Klovo, Master of Electrical Engineering, scholarship holder of the Hastor Foundation since its establishment in 2006, until the end of his studies in 2022.
Vedin is adorned with the epithet “child miracle of Gorazde”. At only 11 years old, he wrote two books and learned to speak three foreign languages. On behalf of Mr. Nijaz Hastor, the founder and owner of the ASA Prevent Group, he had the honor of receiving the Honorary Citizen of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton of Goražde award. Today, he is a successful young man, who greatly appreciates the contribution of the Hastor Foundation in his education.
My parents are the ones who instilled in me from a young age the awareness of how important it is to respect the Hastor Foundation, to be grateful to it, considering that this scholarship was very important to us, the family.
After successfully completing the study process, Vedin took a big step for his career and decided to start a private business and founded the company Brainstorm Technologies. He reveals to us that he is currently completely devoting his life to work, and that there will be time for rest later. We were also interested in what one of his days looks like today:
Working and busy. I work in software engineering and artificial intelligence. I work with several of my colleagues. As we mentioned, I opened my own company. I’m focused on work. We work directly for foreign clients in the USA and Europe. My goal is, of course, to dedicate myself more to work than to free time this year.
Prompted by a personal example that education is really the only weapon that can change the world, Vedin points out the importance of those who help the education of young people:
Educating and helping a family that may not be in the best financial condition to raise a child, to educate them and to go through schooling, with the help of the Hastor Foundation, is, in my opinion, the greatest help that can be given to a family that is permanent, because I believe that every parent’s goal is for their child to live better than he did.
We believe that everyone will find a part of themselves, their path and life story in Vedin’s messages, and we wish you a pleasant viewing of the entire episode:
