How to keep students’ attention? How promising is IT really and what benefits does it bring? The answers to these and many other questions were given by our alumni Amela Vatreš, a teacher’s assistant at the International Burch University. The key to success is proactivity, and continuous work, and then¾opportunities come by themselves, explains Amela:

I didn’t seek out any opportunity that I got, but rather the opportunity found me, or rather, in a way it came to me because someone is always watching you through your everyday activities: how you do something, how you carry yourself. All of that is very important, and when someone sees potential in you, it’s certain that, if they have the opportunity, you’ll be recommended tomorrow, that someone will offer you a job, and so on, so everyday life is our greatest opportunity.

In addition to her work at the University, Amela has been freelancing for a long time and on this occasion, she tells us about the benefits of online work:

I have to admit that this way of working has a lot of advantages, first of all, the advantage that I see the most is flexibility in every respect, especially when it comes to time and space. These are some benefits that traditional jobs do not offer, when I say traditional jobs, I mean jobs where you have working hours, which are mostly from 8 to 4-5 p.m., and you know that you are at work then and you do not have any space to fit in any other activity. On the other hand, I, of course, have my obligations, I have what I need to do, and it has to be of a certain quality.
