Legal Frame for Philanthropy
The Hastor Foundation, led by the Mozaik Foundation and together with the leading philanthropic organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina – the Network for Building Peace organization and the Pomozi.ba association, as well as partnering organizations from the Republic of Serbia – the Trag Foundation and the Katalist Foundation, is implementing the Legal Frame for Philanthropy program. The purpose of this joint project is to upgrade the legal and fiscal frame and create a stimulating environment for the growth of philanthropy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program takes place from August 12, 2020, up until August 11, 2024, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) BiH.
The goals of the project are:
- advancement of the collaboration between the public, private, and civil sectors through the Philanthropical Forum, which is a platform for cooperation and development of the philanthropy ecosystem in BiH, and
- advancement of the legal frame and creating a stimulative environment for the growth of philanthropy in local communities through participative suggestions to change the legal and fiscal legislation. This process will support activities of advocating to advance the public policies in the chosen priority areas.
The target audience of the project are the representatives of the legislative and executive authority of local, entity, and state levels; directors and company representatives, donors; organizations of the civil society, and networks of organizations of the civil society.
